I stay up even when I don’t plan to do any homework. it’s terrible actually.

6-7 hrs weekdays and 9-10 weekends. counting naps on weekends and my dad doesn’t let me nap on weekdays lol

About 7-8 hours. I’m 14 and I train 2-3 hours a day, so I really need more.

Coach: What time do you go to bed?
Me: Uh… Maybe about 11… (And that’s on earlier days)
Coach:!!! You need to be in bed by 9! You need your sleep otherwise you’ll crash in practice…etc…etc…
Me: (um, my last class ends at 9…)

^I feel that way too! I have so many obligations between classes at a local junior college, sports, tutoring my brother’s friends, piano lessons, and AcDec that I end up starting my homework at 8 to 9 depending on the day of the week.

I usually get 4-5 hours of sleep if I have school the next day and 6 hours of sleep on weekends. MUCH better from the days when I used to stay up all night… Every night.

A problem I have is that if my homework requires using the computer (which is almost always lol) then I stay up an extra hour or two on the computer after finishing my homework -.-

I get like 3 to 4 hours on weekdays with the occassional 5 if I take a nap. On weekends I get about 12 to 16 to catch up. I think my sleep habbits are bad… but they will get worse in college haha

Usually 5-6.
Most of my teachers tend to assign homework with the assumption that their class is the highest priority, and/or with the assumption that we have no after school or outside activities at all whatsoever.
It’s unfortunate.

^I hate when teachers do that.

Kids in my class: “Ugh. That assignment sucked. I was up until 3 in the morning last night.”
Teacher: “That’s why you don’t procrastinate! You should have been working on this project every day for the last month!”
Kids in my class: “Well, we DO have other homework you know… There was no other time to do it”
Teacher: “Why were you doing other classes’ homework before my class’ homework?”
Kids: “Because it was due sooner…”
Teacher: “No excuses. You’re all procrastinators, and you deserve to be sleep-deprived.”
proceeds to assign ten projects

HOW ON EARTH DO PEOPLE NAP. I have napped twice in the past year and that was because of crazy overnight field trips. I just straight up can’t nap ever.

Probably 6-7 hours, but I try to nap for an hour every day. Sometimes I can’t though, and just go off of the 6-7 hours.

@paracarli
Same! I thought I was the only one. My mom keeps telling me to take naps to make myself more energetic, but I just can’t nap, haha.

Lol exactly, what is this napping thing people speak of. And how do some of you get so little sleep? I never let myself stay up past 10:30 studying because I can’t function the next day otherwise. You guys are superhumans…

I generally get 4-5 hours on the weekdays, and 9+ on the weekends.
If I take a nap I cannot get myself to get back up and do homework!

around 6 hours during the weekdays, and 10 hours during the weekend

10 hours on weekdays. Wayyy too long on the weekends. Prolly 15 hrs+. but i can sleep less than 2 hrs in a day if required

@JRswish are you kidding me? How the asdfghjkl do you get 10 hours on a weekday?!?! I get 7-8! Do you wake up at 9 or something??

wake up at 11-12. perks of having graduated high school 2 months back haha

Oh you’re one of those…haha

Graduating early seems nice. But there’s a lot of fun stuff that goes with the end of the school year too!

How late did you sleep before graduation?

erm i didnt graduate early. international student. we have weird systems.
before graduation i used to like sleep in the day after school from like 2pm to 2am (school was 8am to 1pm) and stay up all night. yeah i know it sounds weird lolz.

Oh international ok. Got you. Out of curiosity…Southern Hemisphere? My friend in Australia had school off during our winter because it was their summer.

india…
Christmas in Australia must be weird as hell. or do they celebrate it around the 4th of July.

Haha it is weird! She would send me pics from the beach in the middle of December…definitely a different atmosphere.
