<p>My mom always told me my college friends would be the ones I keep for life, but I really love my high school ones now and I hope that we stay friends forever too.</p>
<p>In your experience, what has happened?</p>
<p>My parents told me the same. My father's best friend in middle school and high school is currently in jail. He was shocked when he found out. No, they were never bada$$.</p>
<p>My mom is still very close with her college friends... not her high school ones (at all). And, my dad keeps in touch with neither his high school nor college friends. All of his friends are from his work.</p>
<p>lol.... even if i dont keep up with all my high school friends i cant wait to see them at reunions....</p>
<p>so true ^^^ highschool reunions will certainly be entertaining haha</p>
<p>Though I think Facebook kind of ruins the suspense...</p>
<p>This is going to sound semi-creepy, but the other day my friends and I went onto the pages of our high school's former students to see whether or not they still talked to their high school friends. We actually saw that they did keep in touch with their closest friends.
(In our defense, it's not as if we were stalking the people themselves... we were just having a "AHHH WE'RE NEVER GOING TO SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN!!!" moment.)</p>
<p>To be honest, though, I can look at some of my friends now and think, "Wow, I'm never going to see this person again after this summer." It's a really strange feeling.</p>
<p>Some of my closest friends are juniors, though, so that will be really hard.</p>
<p>hopefully (?) i won't see any of them until our hs reunion...</p>
<p>Hmm, I want to keep in touch with them. I want to have people that I can hang out with when I come home for breaks. And my school isn't that bad. I guess that is what Facebook is for.</p>
<p>After 40 years, I am still very close to a few of my HS friends. The internet lets us easily stay in contact. Reunion this year!</p>
<p>My aunt went to her 40th reunion recently! She loved it!</p>
