Just wondering.

Does it matter how many family members went there?
Does it matter what they majored in?
Does it matter if they gave donations?
Does their relationship to you matter? (grandparents or aunts and uncles vs parents)

Thanks :)

In the end, it really depends on each school. I don’t think a family members choice of major has any bearing on legacy status. While donating an insane amount of money may help, that is also no guarantee. Typically, they will look at parents who attended, but that’s not set in stone- my son goes to WUSTL, and there are 3 kids from one family attending, with potentially 2 more in he pipeline!
