How much does a prospective athlete form help with your chances?

So, for a school I applied to, I did not see the prospective athlete form. In the last round of admissions, I saw the form on the admissions page. However, this round it was moved to the athletics section.
I would have looked at the athletics section, but since a sibling already attends there isn't much I still need to know. So naturally I missed the form. I just found it while looking around the webpage a little bit ago. Is it still worth it to submit it, or should I just forget about it? I'm worried that it could have been the line between wait list and rejection or wait list and acceptance. I feel extremely dumb to not have found this earlier.

I would still submit it if i were you. At this point there is no way for it to hurt you.

very true

I would submit it, but I am worried about the school thinking badly of me for sending it in late. It’s my top choice, too.

Did you include your athletic interest and experience on your application and did you contact the coach and send a video, etc. We never saw a prospective athlete form either so never submitted one. I didn’t even know there was such a form. I have also read on CC that some applicants write a top choice letter which my child didn’t do either. How are we supposed to know about this??

I included my interest in my general app, but I didn’t see the actual prospective athlete form for that school. I did it for another school, though.

I didn’t send videos, etc regarding my athletics to the coach.

I think you should still send the form and if you have videos handy, send that as well

We sent videos to the coach but no form. If your have videos WishStar12 you should send them ASAP.

If it makes you feel better, we filled out a prospective athlete form for the one school that had one, and I don’t think they ever read it…because we got absolutely no response and weren’t even put on a general mailing list as a result. And we had extensive contact with a coach at another school…and son got waitlisted. He was accepted at the school where he contacted no coaches. Anyway, I’d just contact the coach and express interest in the team, ask a couple thoughtful questions, and offer some info. about yourself.
