I got accepted in thurgood marshall, and everyone i know is flipping out ( in the bad way :[ ) I was accepted for bio sciences, and am wondering if this college is right for me. If not, which would be better, and what are my chances of changing?

there are plenty of bio majors in marshall, as there are plenty of bio majors all over campus. you guys breed like monkeys.

for the zillionth time, there is no "right" college for your major, nor vice versa. the stereotypes of warren having engineers, revelle having premeds, etc is based on the fact that the respective college's GE requirements can be more forgiving for certain majors.

as for your chances of changing, i posted about it an hour ago. read that, as well as the hundreds of other discussions regarding the EXACT. SAME. THING.

Your college doesn't affect your major. I will say that the college system at UCSD makes it easier, in my view, to double major in two different disciplines (like hard science+fine arts or social science+humanities) thank some other schools.

At UCSD, you only have to fulfill your single college GE requirements, plus the requirements of your two majors.
At other schools, you'd have to do the requirements for both of your majors and the requirements of the separate colleges (College of Letters and Science+College of Natural Science).
