<p>Probably not a lot. I think in one of Hernandez's books, she said that because alumni interviews are pretty subjective, it can't be significantly relied on.</p>
<p>About half the applicants to Dartmouth don't get interviews. It's not a big deal. Most schools see the interview as a chance to differentiate themselves from other competitors for the freshman class - Dartmouth wants a chance to present itself as a unique choice, and an alumni interview can be a great way to clear up doubts or questions about Dartmouth.</p>
