<p>I concur in concept....but, by using your assumed numbers, the hypothetical student increases his/her chances by 33% (5%/15%), which is not a small edge, IMO.</p>
<p>stambliark: I have often heard that legacies must apply early to obtain the legacy boost. But, IMO, high stat URM's should not apply early since they are hooked, and could compare offers later. </p>
<p>evh: Penn is a BIG supporter of ED, and admissions makes that public. Indeed, Stetson has used it to move the school into the top 10 over the past 20 years.</p>
<p>Wesdad: used 2008-09 ED admissions for P-ton and compared to USnews since both used old SAT. A stronger ED class should have higher SAT than the the total pool....if it does, the numbers are insignificant.</p>
