How much does being from a somewhat underrepresented state help in admissions?

I'm from Arizona, and am wondering how much being from my state would help in admissions to top east coast schools (e.g. Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Duke etc.). The applicant pool is much smaller, so I would assume that the applicant pool would tend to be weaker. I know states like Montana and Wyoming have clear advantages in this area, and I'm just curious if mid-range states like AZ, NM, OK, or NE have similar advantages. Does anyone have any insight on the topic?

It’s not going to make or break you.
