How much does Boston college care about senior year?

hey
Boston college is my dream school.
But i don’t know if i should apply early.
Also my senior year schedule is not as hard as junior year.
Is that okay?
my schedule is
Ap calculus
Ap physics
Ap psychology/ speech
orchestra
english
ap economic/ ap government

Please give me any advice:)
Thank you

You are going to have to be much more specific in terms of current GPA, standardized test scores and EC’s. Rigor of schedule is important but Adcoms look at so much more. From my standpoint your senior schedule looks perfectly fine as long as you maintain high standards for yourself. College admissions isnt a logical thing anymore, its become a crapshoot. You just have to roll your dice and hope you stand out.

And if BC is your dream school then apply early, it can never really hurt unless you are at the bottom quarter of applicants. Applying early can knock off some RD apps if you get in and the application pool is smaller but just if not more qualified.

thank you so much. I am planning on retaking the ACT to get at least a 31. I have a 3.8 unweighted gpa. I got 710 on SAT 2 math and 800 on Chinese. I have a really huge improvement in high school since I moved to the US when I was 13. I have been in orchestra, key club and french club( officer). I am planning on starting my own club this year. I have more than 100 volunteer hours.
I have some questions: Does applying early mean higher chance to get in? Should I apply most of the school early? Does EC’s only include activities in school?

Applying early can mean a slight increase in chances to be accepted but I would recommend it more for the peace of mind that you could know just before Christmas instead of in late March. Your GPA and subject test scores look good but I would try to bring up your ACT to at least a 32. And if a school you are looking at offered Early Action or Rolling then yes apply early. It is sometimes a precursor for merit aid and it just makes things easier down the semester when the regular decision applications are due. To answer your final question, EC’s are anything you do that you think would look meaningful on a college application whether it is volunteering, part-time job, club sports, etc.
