Just wondering, how much does demonstrated interest help/boost an applicant when applying to Tufts? Do they track website hits, social media follows, interviews, info sessions etc? If they do, how much do they weight interest in comparison to hard grades or an essay?
You can look at a school’s Common Data Set (CDS) to get an idea of the relative importance of various factors. I extracted this from Tuft’s CDS:

thanks so much!
Remember that with something like demonstrated interest, it only comes into play when they are whittling down the "want to admit " pile. It doesn’t make an okay applicant attractive.
Hi !! I am a sophomore @ Tufts right now and to be honest, I think demonstrated interest helped a bit. I had so-so stats compared to people who were previously admitted to Tufts from my high school. I went to two information sessions in my area (one 11th grade, other one 12th grade), and I made it clear through my supplements/interviews that I REALLY wanted to go to this school. However, I did not apply ED 1/ED 2. I would say applying ED is the best way to show that you’re really committed. If you are on the fence like i was two years ago, and later decided tufts was the best for you, try to show it through your essays and supplements/interview.
