Hi I'm a rising senior attending the New Horizons Governors School for science and technology in Va. I am at the top of my class both at my home school and in my grade at the Governors school. My question is whether the governors school is well respected or even known my most college out of state? Does it give me a significant advantage when applying for colleges both instate or out of state? What about admissions into honors programs or merit aid? Any thoughts?

By the way here is a link to the wikipedia page describing the Gov school program in Va: Governor's Schools (Virginia) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
