In a old post of mine I asked questions on my cousins’ chances on getting into UC Berkeley. They both got D’s in AP Euro last semester (they are Sophomores). One of them is failing the class this semester and the other has a 68% (high D). How hard would it be for them to get into a good or decent 4 year university?
The UCs are sensitive to Ds, you need to get at least a C. It is just too bad they pushed to take a class they were not ready for. Can the one who is failing drop it?
Universities look at their Sophomore year very closely. It is too bad that they are getting very low grade. If AP classes are too heavy for them then place them in a class where they will succeed, if that is why they are failing. I suggest you take them to see universities starting now. They need a wake up call!
