I was wondering how much do admission officers care that iv'e held a job throughout high school, does it help any?

They could value your work experience and all the soft skills you earn from it.
Or they could suggest student loan or on-campus jobs in case you apply for financial aid.
I cannot say for sure. I’m just another applicant :)

I never had a job and I got in…so do not know if helps…it did not seem to hurt not to have a job

On that part of App, I stated I was fortunate to not have to work financially, and I volunteered instead…

Who knows the mind of god er…I mean the AO’s….?

It’s viewed as a positive and it will help, especially if you’ve done it for a few years (they like any EC’s that show commitment). They will want to know how long (how many years) you’ve worked and the average number of hours worked each week.

My son worked two part time jobs from the time he was 16 until just recently (He leaves for UF on 8/17). He also made time for a lot of extra curricular activities and volunteered a ton and was #6 in his class of 450. It was a lot of work but I think it showed that he was a balanced applicant that knew how to manage his time. I can only think it would help you in your application, but it is not going to take the place of having everything else in line as well:)
