How much does legacy increase chance?

My cousin attends Johns Hopkins University right now. I was wondering how much that would benefit me if I were to apply there.

(If a cousin attends that school, that is considered a legacy, right? What about older siblings or father who attended different colleges? Are these all considered legacy?)

Cousin isn’t a legacy…fathers, mothers, and grandparents are though.

Grandparents only at some colleges At many it’s just a parent who was an undergrad. A sibling is a tip factor (not as strong as legacy) at some schools if they are sill there when you will be.

A true legacy more than doubles chances at most colleges.
