I am a prospective student, 91 GPA, 2240 SAT, 34 ACT with Legacy applying to Arts and Sciences. Obviously I would need to go early to use the legacy, but would I get in? How much of a difference does legacy make? And would I get in without legacy?

nice scores and a legacy = don't even worry about it.

For what it's worth, the legacy acceptance rate for the Class of 2011 was 34%, compared to an overall acceptance rate of 16.1%.

I can only talk about applicants from my high school, but I've seen legacies with strong scores rejected ED from SAS and Wharton. Keep in mind, legacy ED helps people in varied amounts. If your parents donate $0 and are not active at all, legacy doesn't make you a guarantee. If your parents significantly helped Penn make that 1.8 billion dollars yesterday, then the legacy status probably helps a bunch ED.

My mother has given money throughout the years to the university, if that makes any difference. Does anyone have any information about what the average SAT and ACT scores are for accepted legacies?
