Hey!
I was wondering whether MIT cared more about math scores than other tip top universities?

I would assume so but I guess it would depend on what major you were applying for at the schools

They want to make sure that your math scores indicate that you can handle the work at MIT.

There is no cutoff if you’re wondering.

@banana if I do undecided major but STS minor would that work?
@SpaceDuck around what grade\score indicates that my math level is high enough? I live in a foreign country where they do not have much to much to offer math-wise and even then my grades aren’t the best but are considered “good enough”(about a B- or so)

I believe that having above a 700+ is sufficient, it was stated somewhere on MIT admissions blogs

Note: I got in with a 660 in Math SAT I & 660 SAT II, but I was taking Multivar. Calc. at my local university (made an A- in the class).

Scores can only tell so much about a person.

Try and get the highest grades possible in your class. Good luck to you.

I have 74 PSAT M, 32 ACT M, and 750 Math II, and I was admitted early to the class of 2017.

80 PSAT M, 800 IIC, 800Math, 12 AIME, deferred.

Don’t matter as much as race/gender/stuff you can’t control
