How much does SDSU care about local admission?

Do they put priority in getting local transfer students into their colleges? I remember reading sometime ago that they did but now I can’t remember. Would being a local San Diegian help with my chances?

Yes, being in the local service area will give you priority and if you are applying with an AA-T/AS-T, you can get the extra 0.1 GPA grade bump. This however does not guarantee admission.

Having TAG, will give you guaranteed admission as long as you meet all the requirements.

They definitely give priority admission to local students, although it is still hard to get in. If you attend any community college south of the 56 you’re in the priority area. It’s gonna help your chances for sure
