How much does taking an online course help?

Seems like every one of you recommend taking rigorous math/science courses in Community colleges. I tried to work that out at my school but they wouldn't let the credits count as my school grades..

would it help in anyway if I take an online course offered by either MIT or Stanford, which won't be count as an actual credit??

Then you take the CC class in ADDITION to your regular schedule and you send the transcript. MIT Doesn't offer online courses to my knowledge, and although they have open course ware you wouldn't get a grade and it wouldn't be considered to my knowledge unless you take the AP exam.
For Stanford, are you talking about EPGY? That would also be good but CC classes are cheaper and I don't believe they're seen in a better light than CC classes.

Taking an an MIT OCW class would help. It would not be on your transcript, but you can put it on some other part of your application. They will look at it in a positive light.

EPGY would come with a seperate transcript.

What do you hope to gain by the extra classes? A better knowledge of a subject, or just a better looking application?

And how is that relevant to the discussion?!
He has the right to be whomever he choose to be...

Get back to the topic. :-)
