How much does the essay matter for Cockrell Honors?

<p>So, I've already been accepted into Cockrell for ChemE, but I'm wondering how much the engineering honors essay matters for honors admission. I've already submitted my EHP application, but I didn't feel my essay was really up to snuff. I've heard that the decision is based mostly on your SATs and class rank though, which is a real relief for me. Some stats are:</p>

<p>34 combined M+CR on the ACT
780 Math II
800 Physics
Top 1%
8 APs taken, with all 5s</p>

<p>So, do I have much to worry about?</p>
