How much does the Interview count?

So...
My interview wasn't BAD per se...
It was very short.
And there were lots of awkward pauses.
Nervousness took over and I didn't really speak much...
But it wasn't terrible, I got a few points across.
Anyway so it wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't good at all.

Will this greatly hurt admission chances?

I'm pretty sure the interview is a pretty small part of the application process. Don't worry about it being short...mine was probably only 20-25 minutes, and I got in. Your transcript and essay are going to matter much more.

one of the reps. told me the interview will never make or break applicants' chances

The information session presenter told our information session group the interview counted about as much as a letter of reference counted. (For what its worth.) We took this as saying the interview was not likely to make you or break you.

When my daughter had her interview, she said she thought it went well but it was very informal and the interviewer didn't write anything down. I hope the interviewer wrote up a report soon - or has a good memory!

^That's good... I had a great interview.

My interview was short (around 20 minutes maybe?), but he seemed to write down everything I said after I got my sea legs. The only silences there were were after I finished speaking and he was still writing. He smiled a lot too. I hope it went well.

My interview is in...one hour, fifty-five minutes woohoo

My interview went on for an hour, which is way more than most people say here... Hopefully, it's better to be an hour than worse

my interview was about an hour and 20 mins...my interviewer seemed genuinely interested in me though and was really encouraging. she wanted to help me out i could tell and even gave me tips on my essay, so i think it went pretty well

Arrrgh. My interview was pretty good. Went on for an hour and a half. I started getting fidgety, ADD acting up, haha.

i've known my interviewer for 9 years, so it went pretty well.

i just had my interview today! i was really pleased with it. at first she asked a few questions and then it just flowed into a really intellectual conversation. she went to SFS (where i'm applying to) and we had a LOT in common in terms of what kind of activities and groups we enjoy. it was about an hour and a half at a french bakery. she took some notes over really interesting things that i mentioned. i felt really good walking out of there, though. good luck to all of you!

My interview is in an hour and 45 minutes. Any last minute suggestions/words of advice? ahh I'm nervous, but not really
