I am considered as an International although i have been here since i was in 6th grade, and i am currently in 11th grade.

My school is very challenging and my grades are pretty decent. I know they consider me as an International when i apply to college and how much will that hinder my chance? because i've heard that the precentage of acceptance for Internationals are alot lower. Ugh.

btw. the school im currently looking into is NYU Stern.

Well, being an international student doesn't necessarily lower your chance (I'm talking in general...You might want to check the NYU website for their admission statistics), but being an international student who asks for financial aid will reduce the chance to <5% at top universities. In many cases, for applicants without any hook, the chance will virtually be 0.

NYU doesn't give need-based fin aid to internationals at all... If you don't need fin aid, your chances should be about the same as those for American applicants.

I am pretty sure for the OP (grown up in the US) and NYU, but I would not generalize it to all internationals (esp. not from "overrepresented" countries) and all colleges (esp. not Havard & Co, i.e. all colleges particularly popular among internationals).
