How much does your GPA typically drop in college?

How much does your GPA drop in college compared to high school..
for this one, STEM majors only.
Thanks.

Didn’t you already post this question? In fact, it’s a couple posts down from this one.

There is no real answer to this question. Plenty of people have 4.0’s in high school, then bomb their GPA in college. Other people hang on to their 4.0 all the way through college. Others did horribly in high school, and now have a 4.0 in college. Some people have maintained average GPA’s through both.

It all depends on how you are as a student. There is no universal constant that says your GPA must drop once you get to college.

Oh yeah I guess I did post this earlier.

Yeah the variables in this question are probualy pretty hard to control…

I am just scared of like failing as a chem major…I could take intro classes and see how that goes ig…

Just put the work in, and you’ll be fine. It’s not like you’re going to get to college and get the life beaten out of you and get sent through a ringer.

It requires more work than high school, definitely, but if you stay on top of everything and make sure to do the work, and study, you’ll be fine.

The average GPA is usually lower for STEM majors in college.
