People say it is better to do EC that are most interesting to me, so I can get some awards in contests or leadership posiotions. (so I can show my passion)
But honestly, I don't have any interest and not good at anything besides studying.

Well, I'm good at sports like basketball and soccer, but my school requires practice of minimum 3hrs per day to school sports team members. So I don't think I can keep up my grade while participating in sports teams.

I heard that for top class colleges, EC is REALLY important.
So even though I have good grade, I'm so stressd because of my weak EC.
I'm participating in few clubs, like MUN, but I don't think I can get awards in contests or leadership positions.

I want to know what are the chances for people with good grades but weak EC (participated in many things, but not impactive) to get into IVY.
'good grades' mean this: 8 AP classes(mostly 5,4 on AP tests), GPA 3.8 UW, 2100-2300 SAT

Also need some advice on what should I do for EC.

Plz help!

When your schools EC’s have meetings attend them and see what they are about. All EC’s don’t have to be done in/at school . If you find something you like to do out side of school , say on the weekends or when you have time - go for it ! Its just as important as everything else in the college process so its up to you to find out what you might like , and trust me … there’s something out there for everyone

I’m going to react to one item:

“Well, I’m good at sports like basketball and soccer, but my school requires practice of minimum 3hrs per day to school sports team members. So I don’t think I can keep up my grade while participating in sports teams.”

One of the reasons why athletes get admissions preferences is because they are able to incorporate three hours per day into sports and continue to do their schoolwork at a high level. Highly selective schools value that kind of versatility, time management, and ability to perform under difficult conditions.

If you are a good athlete and if you like participating in sports, I’d recommend taking a second look at your choices here.

Perhaps, too, there are sports teams in your community that you could get involved in. Having some kind of hobby or club is important as a stress reducer, life enhancer, and to learn various skills of all kinds including leadership and organizational skills. Doing more than academics is more important in terms of your overall life than it is for most college admissions. Only the very top colleges – places like HPY – have such an overabundance of highly qualified applicants that the colleges can use ECs and other activities to pick and choose among the applicants who qualify for admission.
