How much exactly is class rank valued by TAMU Admissions

Hey everyone,

I’m an academic admit OOS, but with a 24% class rank. My school has an unweighted class rank because otherwise my hypothetical weighted class rank would be in the 13-15 % range. Should I mention this particular thing in my Additional Information section on ApplyTexas and with the 24% unweighted, are my chances for engineering slim?

Your SAT scores matter a lot more when it comes to engineering.

The whole point of engineering review is to prevent people from getting in engineering on the basis of their rank.

Even if your class rank is UW, having rigorous classes should show on your schedule.
