How much financial aid can i expect to receive?

My father makes around 200k a year and my mother is unemployed. I have 2 sisters both 14. So any ideas? I'm assuming its not going to be a lot

All students that complete FAFSA are eligible for Stafford loans (max for a freshman $5500.). Other than that with an income of $200k you will probably not be eligible for need based aid.

It depends on the college. There are colleges that have students from famiilies at that income level that qualify for financial aid. Also, there are merit within need schools where you may qualify for aid. Your family assets will also figure into this, so it is difficult to say. At that income level, it is doubtful that you will be getting much if any financial aid under most scenarios.

For need based aid? Which schools? The highest income I have heard for qualifying for need based aid was $180,000, not $200,000. I’m sure others would like to know which schools have a $200K income threshold for need based aid.

I will say…if the family had four or five kids in college at the same time, they might qualify for need based aid.
