my father is the only one that works and he makes about 89k a year. I was wondering how much UVA gave to people around this range. It may appear that my father makes a lot, but he is the only one that works and he is 63 years old right now, so the amount of financial aid that UVA gives me determines if I go there or not.

Many different factors are considered, so no one here can give you a good estimate based upon that info. Overall, I’d guess that you might be eligible for some aid if you are out of state and a US student, and little or no need-based aid directly from UVa if you are in-state. You may eligible for aid from your state’s direct grants.

I am in state, so does that mean i have to pay full price…

There are way too many variables for anyone outside of UVa financial aid to answer this for you. All the things your parents had to answer on the CCS Profile go into compiling your aid package. Factors include state of residence, how many children in college, adjusted gross income, etc.

Did you check the financial aid calculator?

Full price in-state is still a bargain.

I can tell you by some efc to aid things I’ve seen people get this year.
All instate:
11k EFC = 5k grants, 9k loans, pay the rest
3k EFC =11k grants, 9k loans, pay the rest
17k EFC = 9k loans, pay the rest
