How much financial aid?

Hey there,
I'm sorry if this question was asked somewhere before, but I looked through the threads and couldnt find any information.
So I'm currently a rising senior and I'm considering applying to Cornell (school of Engineering), but one thing my parents and I are worrying about is affording it.
To any current Cornell students in Engineering, how much aid did you get? I saw on their website that the cost is about $54k
How do they determine family contribution?
If my parents make about $70k combined and there are 4 people in my household (including a sibling in college), about how much would I have to pay?

Thanks in advance. =)

try the Cornell financial aid estimator: https://www.finaid.cornell.edu/apply/faestimator.cfm

Tell your parents to give a call to Cornell’s FA office and to work through the CSS Profile on the collegeboard website. Those give a realistic showing of what you deserve, and as long as your parents make UNDER $75k a year, you should receive a very generous package (I’d say about 75% in grants to you). Under their new FA initiative that started either a year or two ago, students with parents who make under $75k, they will have no loans. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you won’t pay anything either! Having a sibling in college definitely helps, I’m not sure how much though.

oh ok
thank you guys!! =)
