I feel like I have way too much free time. I spend about 25-30 hours a week on extracurriculars and maybe 10 on homework. I am only a freshman, but I really want to get into Brown .. am I not trying hard enough? How much free time do you have?

At the moment, being a sophmore, this semester I have way too much time. I even feel like I'm not being pushed enough. Next semester I'm going to stock up on classes to be a little more challenged!

Like a half hour a day if I'm lucky. Weekends, I do my homework in the morning and then party all night... from like 7 until midnightish and then I do more homework after.

Unless I am volunteering for something, then I get rid of partying... I'm not much for parties anywho.

don't super-load up on classes senior year. everyone has tons of free time as freshmen and sophomores, because homework isn't at all hard and you're still getting started with extracurriculars. junior year is going to be hell for you guys because that's when everything (APs, SATs, ECs) goes into full swing. Remember though, it doesn't end with that summer. go hard, but not hardcore. it'll preserve your sanity for a little while longer.

WEEKDAYS per day:
School: 7 hours (6 on Wed.)
EC's: 1 hr avg.
HW: 3 hr avg. (varies from 1 to 5)
Sleep: 6 hr avg.
Dinner/shower/other daily stuff to do: ~1 hr
Free time: rest

WEEKENDS per day:
Sleep: 8 hr avg.
HW: 2.5 hr avg. (varies from 1 to 5 depending how motivated I am to do homework)
EC's: depends. Anywhere from 0-6 hr
Dinner/shower/other daily stuff to do: ~1 hr
I have church on Sunday mornings for ~1.5-2 hr
Free time: rest

As you can see, even as a Junior, I waste a significant portion of my time.

WEEKDAYS per day:
School: 6 hrs
EC's: 1 hr
HW: 7 hrs (includes studying)
Sleep: 6 hrs
Dinner/shower/other daily stuff to do: 1.5 hrs
Free time: hard to say (my procrastination time within HW)

hmm 7 ap classes. i set aside time each day to watch 1 hr of tv lol. cant miss house, private practice, greys, and desperate housewives, in addition to football and basketball games. ;)

LOL, free time! I have way more than I'll admit to.
I'm involved in one club big-time but I keep that kind of stuff at school. I don't let it follow me home.
I played a fall sport, but I still had time even though I had 6-days/week practice.
I work in the drama department, and except for performance week, I had free time.
I suppose that if I actually enjoyed studying my weakest subjects, I'd have a lot less free time. But then, they wouldn't be my weakest subjects, would they?
I watch, whenever I can:
Tues- House
Wed- Pushing Daisies, Proj Runway
Thurs- UGLY BETTY*

*It's a Priority, meaning that it takes priority over any other kind of work. I do not study during Ugly Betty. I do not miss episodes. It is a complete priority. I recommend Priorities to anyone.

I used to play guitar, before high school, and now I do creative writing, but only on weekends and during class, lol. I squander time on Facebook and Myspace, but then, I have a decent social life and somewhat satisfactory grades (4 As, 2 A-s, one B+ [ok, so I hate the B+, but it is in AP Bio, my least favorite class]).

The important thing, I think, is to be able to sit and look into the sky and think about wether it really is existence before essence or vice versa. At least, that's what I do with my free time. LOL.
