How much GPA matters after you get in

Hey guys, I just recently been accepted as a transfer student to MSU with a 3.4 GPA, and I'm looking forward on attending this great institution. I was just wondering how much my grades matter now that I got into MSU? It said in my acceptance letter that my admission is "contingent upon continued academic success," Is it ok if I pull off B's ending with a 3.00 this semester?

Any input would be great.

Thanks.

Your grades do not matter much now. As long as they are not unreasonably low (all Ds/Fs) by the end of the semester it will be fine. You can get transfer credit as long as you have gotten Cs or above (2.0+) in the classes that you want credit for. Once MSU evaluated your classes they will give you credit but no grades will transfer over.
