how much h.w would these classes have for your school?

<p>Span 2(class after intro to spanish)
Ap Bio
Ap Euro
Ap Comp Sci
H Precalc(After this class, you go straight to Ap calc B.C)
H Eng 10(After this class, you go straight to Ap Lang)</p>

<p>AP Bio- moderate amount of homework ( about 2 hours/ night)
H English 10- a lot of homework especially essays ( at least that is what I am told. I am taking it next year)</p>

<p>Spanish 2 would probably be half an hour to an hour depending on whats assigned. Pretty much always some vocabulary or exercise to do.
AP Bio- an hour minimum every night. The teachers assign lots of concept maps and reading
Pre Calc honors- homework every night but takes max. 15 minutes
English- there isnt homework every night besides any readings, which depends on yourself. Some essay writings</p>

<p>Spanish-nonexistent homework.
AP Bio-10 hrs/week</p>

<p>Spanish 2- Languages at my school usually just study vocab and forms for however long it takes them to memorize them
AP Bio - Teacher assigns a chapter to read on monday, tests it on friday
AP Euro- Same as above
AP Comp Sci - teacher never assigns homework
Precalc - usually a set number of problems, length varies
English- However long it takes you to read the assigned reading/ write the assigned essay</p>

<p>Spanish 2: A worksheet or a few worksheets a night.
Honors Precalc: Problems every night.
Honors English 10: Pretty much nothing. A project here or there that doesn’t take much effort.</p>

<p>Spanish 2: Not too much and I was in Honors as well (<1 hour per night).
AP Euro: Not too much as well because my teacher was very laid-back (<1 hour per night).
Honors English 10: Moderate unless a lot of reading was assigned that day (~1 hour per night).
I’m on a block schedule though so I might get less HW per night than some of you guys.</p>

<p>Spanish 2: Light. The most work I had was to read two pages (mostly pictures) in the textbook and answer some questions. Usually it was just one or two handouts.</p>

<p>AP Bio: Heavy. We usually had a few worksheets and notes to review at home, which seems really fair and reasonable, but we had to read and digest around 30 pages every few days before a quiz. Reading, memorizing, etc, for AP Bio will take up a great chunk of your time.</p>

<p>AP Euro: Moderate. We had intense readings for this class, much more so than AP Bio, since history really based on lectures and reading. I had to study from three books, and my teacher assigned 100 pages from one book, 50 pages from the second book and 50 pages from the third book. This was just from one chapter. Just imagine the torture I went through for 10 months!</p>

<p>AP Comp Sci: Light-Moderate. I personally never took the class, but my friend told me that they rarely got homework. It was all class-oriented, but the projects took up a medium chunk of homework time.</p>

<p>H Pre-Calc: Moderate. My teacher gave us about 20 questions from the textbook everyday, but the time it takes to solve them all takes up around 45 minutes. I’m assuming you’d have more homework if you go straight in AP Calc BC</p>

<p>H English 10: Light. Other than book readings, which were spread out over a period of time, I find English classes to have the least amount of work, especially sophomore English.</p>

<p>We don’t have AP Euro or AP Comp Sci, but for those classes you rarely have homework or you can get it done during class. So I’d say maybe 3 hours per week tops.</p>

<p>On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the most</p>

<p>Spanish 2 - 1.75-2
AP Biology - 4-4.5
AP European History - 4
AP Computer Science - 3
Precalculus Honors - 4.5-5
English 10 Honors - 2.5-3.5</p>

<p>Span 2: was an easy class. It’s not until Spanish III that it begins to eat you alive.
Ap Bio: would be a normal class, except the teacher is notorious at procrastinating grading tests and assignments. You never know what your grade is at any given time.
Ap Euro: lot of reading, but not much else.
Ap Comp Sci: only the hardcore programmers go on to here.
H Precalc: if you put in the work, you get an A (unless you really suck at math)
H Eng 10: English at my school is one of those classes that totally depends upon the teacher</p>

<p>lollll i dont even take hard classes and i will still probably balling in the ivy leauges next year</p>

<p>ps. if you see an extremely good looking and muscular kid with dark hair in cornell in 2011, you have found fitnessmodel. come at me bro</p>

<p>Spanish 2 – Not much. Probably just workbook stuff.
AP Bio – A LOT. I feel sorry for the people who take it…they’re the people I say good night to at 3AM in the morning. They don’t sleep much.
AP Euro – We don’t have this class.
AP Comp Sci – NONE. Well, as long as you do your work in class…otherwise, you pretty much are advised to work on it at home.
Precalc – Eh amount. One hour if you don’t spend half the time messing around.
English Honors – This is an interesting class in terms of workload. I have had nights with no homework and have had nights that involved annotating until 2AM. The latter is even awesomer when boring books & articles are involved. Of course, this is coming from the person who read the last 50 pages of Jane Eyre at 10 pages per hour.</p>

<p>Spanish 2: not much at all. Like 15 minutes per night.
AP Bio: Workload wise, it’s a killer.
AP Euro: Not sure, but it IS an AP so I’d assume a lot of reading.
AP Comp Sci: No clue.
Precalc: Average. An hour, probably.
English Honors: Average. Same as Precalc.</p>

<p>I read this thread… and then I just CHUNDERED EVERYWHERE!</p>

<p>Spanish 2: If it’s like the other languages, ~15 mins/night
AP compsci: Hardly any (~25 mins/night)
Precalc honors: ~30 mins/night
English honors: ~30 mins/night</p>

<p>Ap Bio - the most out of all of these. I have friends who claim at least 3 hours of hw a night</p>

<p>Ap Euro - moderate to high amount, lots of reading/outlining and studying for tests/quizzes, there’s a 15-page term paper, about 2 hours a night</p>

<p>Ap Comp Sci - famous at my school for having no homework until the night before a test, when everyone crams for an hour or so</p>

<p>H Precalc(After this class, you go straight to Ap calc B.C) - minimal amount of homework, maybe 30 minutes</p>

<p>H Eng 10(After this class, you go straight to Ap Lang) - low to moderate amount of homework, ranges from 30 minutes on a good day to 2 hours for a difficult essay or studying for a literature test</p>

<p>TheYankInLondon: ?</p>

<p>Span 2(class after intro to spanish)- maybe 45 minutes a night?
Ap Bio- at least 2 hours a night
Ap Euro- not much, maybe an hour [more leading up to the culminating research project; i’m taking AP Modern Euro second semester next year]
Ap Comp Sci- not sure. i’ll ask my friends who took it
H Precalc(After this class, you go straight to Ap calc B.C)- not sure, i’ll ask my roommate who took it [in freshman year! jesus…]
H Eng 10(After this class, you go straight to Ap Lang)- ha, depends on how good at writing and time management you are. me? maybe 2 hours. some people take longer.</p>

<p>AP Bio - Most out of maybe any class, depends on school. I’m going to be taking it this year.
AP Euro - Probably a lot of reading for tests and projects.
AP Comp Sci - Not too much, I’d think.
Honors Precalc - Probably a worksheet or two.
H Eng 10 - Reading and Writing mostly, depends on how fast you do both.</p>
