How much harder is it to get into Pratt than Trinity?

Ok, I was just wondering how much of a jump there is between getting into Trinity and getting into Pratt. I feel as though I have a shot for Trinity, but I don't know about Pratt, as this depends on just how much harder it is to get into, and on whether the classes I have taken in high school are the right ones, etc. On that note, I would also like your opinions on how likely I am to get in to Pratt based on this limited information.

SAT 1

Math- 770
CR- 700
Writing- 720

SAT 2
Will be taking-
Math 2
Chem
Literature

GPA- 4.71 (w)
3.83 (uw)
Top 5% of class
18/611

The classes with the (B) next to them are the only ones I didn't get A's in, but I am worried about the fact that I didn't take AP Chem or AP Physics, and I am hoping that my B in geometry won't matter. I am still ****ed about that, as I was less than a tenth of a point away from an A. Anyways.... I also plan on taking the ACT in September and will actually study for it in an attempt to come up with some astronomical score, and am confident that I can. (My SATs were without studying) I need to take the Subject Tests in October, and want to get everything done in time for ED, so I am going to skip taking the SAT I's again.

Any help you guys can give would be much appreciated!

I don't konw too much about Duke admissions, but is Pratt even definitely harder to get into? My classmate in high school was actually told to apply to Pratt, then transfer into Trinity since our college counselor apparently thought it was easier to get in. He had never planned to actually study engineering, but he got in.

Everything I have read indicates that Pratt is harder to get into; their SAT ranges are higher (especially in math), and the applicant pool is supposedly more competitive overall. The only thing which might lead somebody to believe Pratt would be easier would be the admit rate, which ends up being somewhere in the upper 30's for Pratt and the teens for Trinity, but given the much smaller applicant pool to Trinity, I think it is more difficult (given the overall higher level of the applicants) but I am unsure exactly. How did your classmate do on SAT's and whatnot?

Your grades are excellent, however there's one thing that I noticed. Your courses and ECs don't actually have much to do with science except for a few. Seeing as you are thinking of applying to Pratt, you'd need to make up for that either through really good recs or a good essay.

That's just my take and my assumption that you need to show interest in engineering. Take it with a grain of salt.

I at least know that Pratt's numbers are higher than Trinity. My year our average SAT Math and Verbal where both higher than Trinity's. (this was the old SAT so no writing) But I think we also get less applicants than Trinity does so I dunno.

I personally am not against athletes in anyway, but you guys also have to keep in mind that recruited athletes tend to bring the average scores (GPA, SAT, ACT) down because they were accepted with lower stats and for other reasons. Most recruited athletes are also in Trinity. I believe that's why a common belief is that Duke will accept high scorers in ED very early on (with a decent application) is because they need to boast their average up to competitive levels with other top schools.

With that said, however, I still think if you removed all the recruited athletes, Pratt would still have a significantly higher Math SAT, and Trinity would tied or slightly ahead in Critical Reading and Writing.

Pratt is definitely more self selective, thus the accepted students has a higher range of SAT/ACT. On the other hand, less people will be applying to Pratt, resulting in a higher acceptance rate.
