I always hear how much harder it is, yet an admissions officer who came t my school insisted that it was no harder then SAS.... so how much harder is it? Was she flat out lying?

I LOVE penn, and would seriously consider applying to SAS if it would give me a better shot over wharton, even though I want to do business....

Please help.... thanks

Wharton is more selective, but the gap is not as wide as people think as far as percentage admitted. First, there are fewer applications to Wharton and also that pool is more self-selective, so while Wharton has a low acceptance rate it is raised a bit by this. Also, the College will receive the bulk of the applications to Penn bringing its acceptance rate down as there are only so many slots. I wanna say the overall difference between the two in acceptance rate is within 2-3%. However, each school looks for different things in applicants, with Wharton placing more emphasis on leadership.
