<p>This whole process is ridiculously expensive. My expenses (so far):</p>
<p>5 Copies of High School Transcript ($2 each): $10
5 Copies of College 1 Transcript ($10 each): $50
5 Copies of Current College Transcript ($5 ): $25
5 Copies of my ACT Scores ($26 each) : $130
Application Fees (most expensive $90, cheapest $35): $0 (thank GOD I qualified for a fee waiver this time around)</p>
<p>Total Cost: $215</p>
<p>Most people probably don't have the two college transcript thing going on that I do, but if you take that out and add in app fees, I'm assuming it's still expensive.</p>
<p>Yeah it’s expensive. I am a transfer student too,and applying to multiple schools. GOOD LUCK!!!</p>
<p>not all my schools accepted my fee waiver, and yeah im at like 200 out of pocket…</p>
<p>Your HS asks you to pay for transcripts? Wow. Ok, maybe I’m a spoiled private school kid. ><
Sure is expensive though.</p>
<p>High school transcripts - $5 x 7 = $35.
College transcripts - $25
CSS Profile - $73
Sending SATs - $65
Postage for referees overseas - $35</p>
<p>Thankfully had a fee waiver for app fees, but my total is $233. =/</p>
<p>My high school and college transcripts were free! But, CSS Profile was $41, ACT scores were either $9 total or $9 each (x5), I can’t remember. One application fee ($70), the rest were waived, and close to $20 in postage costs. So, around $140 to $176.</p>
<p>Hey, i dont know how to put up a post, i just registered for this today. I am also transfering, i was attending johnson and wales university in providence but then i was judicially dismissed from the univeristy last month. My current GPA is 2.86 and I am looking into Umass Amherst, i called JWU and they told me that it would not show up on my transcript. Should i take my chances when applying to different schools and not tell what actually happened?? I need some suggestions pleaseee</p>
<p>Ahh! I completely forgot about the CSS stuff, that was another $78 (give or take).
Yeah, my poor public school needs all the cash they can get, but I’m not complaining too much about a $2 fee. What’s most upsetting is my ACT scores, because I took the test the first time in April of 2007 (as a junior) and then again in October of 2007 (as a senior). My first score was a full 2 points higher than my second one, but because of the cutoff date its already been archived. So I can go with the more recent score (which I won’t because its lower) and pay $7 each or go with the higher one and pay $26. Awesome right?
I think I only get 4 schools on my fee waiver, so I’ll end up paying one.
Adjusted for the CSS fee my new total is: $293 … anyone found any <em>creative</em> ways to get around bleeding so much money?</p>
<p>SAT scores- about $80
Mailing Costs- about $100
CSS Profiles- $140
College Transcript from 1st college- $90
Good thing I got fee waivers and my CC doesn’t charge for transcripts. Same w/ my HS.</p>
<p>All in All, probably around $400-$500. Well worth it, but if I could do it again,I would have taken the advice from here better and only applied to Vanderbilt, Boston College, Wake Forest and Holy Cross</p>
<p>5 College transcripts $5x4=$20
5 HS Transcripts $5X4=$20
Application Fees $75+$75+$65+$60=$275
ACT Scores: $36
CSS: $57
Other stuff: probably $10-15 (not including the trip I had to make down to American U, to give them my transcript cause my college forgot to send it.)
Total: $423
Holy crap… I did not realize I spent that much on applications!! That is ridicules!</p>
<p>So far ive spent $8 on a book of stamps lol i dont have to pay for anything!</p>
