It might be because the interviewer/alumn association there is being overwhelmed by number of applicants who desire an interview

i hope so…i don’t want them to hold that against me

highly doubt it. I’m sure Tufts know that there a lot of ppl applying from your state lololol

^ Gotta listen to him. He is one of the Tufts ED accepted students.

well. its like this, my sisters at tufts
SAT: 2050 (best of 2)
SAT 2: bio: 570
english: 680

and she writes really really well. top 4 of her class. she had an interview and stuff, and she thinks a good interview really tips the scales.

i had mine recently, same guy who took hers. :P

usually before the interview even begins, the interviewer would say that it is only an informational interview for the student to get to know the college better…at least that was how all my interviews were like…is that true about tufts also? anyone knows? whether or not they really take it into consideration when admitting students…and i don’t mean students who are on the border…

^^ You get an additional letter of recommendation out of it. It probably won’t make or break your application.

jut like yournamehere, i live and jersey and was never contacted about such interviews nor was I aware that they even existed for Tufts lol

^ Actually thousands of students apply to Tufts from NJ and I think that’s why they don’t offer interview to everyone. They only offer the interview who submit their supplement early (I guess) So don’t stress over it too much.

I submitted mine on the last day available, so I bet it’s just a location thing in New Jersey.
