I know this may be a dumb question (and a very subjective one), but what is a high salary? In other words, how much would one have to earn to be considered rich? (please give me estimates of salary rather than the percentage of population in YOUR OPINION) Thanks.

IMHO, a large salary would be $60,000 or more.

.-_-.

six figure minimum.

Your own weight in pure cocaine.

"Your own weight in pure cocaine."

Heh. No nose for you...

To the OP:

Approximately $150,000

$15, which I really need right now. Perhaps in my next lifetime.

What's your paypal email?

Don't have one. Hell, don't even have a dollar. -_-

Unless it's absurdly huge like a 100 million dollars, it really depends on the cost of where you live and how much you make in comparison.

No matter how large my salary is, it will NEVER be large enough.

To support my extravagant dream lifestyle, I would have to make between $45MM and $50MM per annum.

All I want is XBox and Halo2, and I'm good to go. :)

Are you kidding, or serious?

AT LEAST $250,000 per year.

Do I SOUND like I'm kidding?

Of course not, I'm serious. Anyone who pretends that they'll be satisfied with a certain amount of money is a despicable liar. Human desire for satisfaction/consumption is insatiable. They always want more. Anyone who took econ knows THAT.

Someone who makes over 250 grand a year is really, really well off. Someone who makes $500,000 or more a year is rich.

Anything that makes a person say "that's a lot" is a lot.

"Human desire for satisfaction/consumption is insatiable. They always want more. Anyone who took econ knows THAT."

Well, sorry to break it to you, but that's not true.
1) There is such a thing as a point of bliss.
2) Marginal Utility<Marginal Cost=You don't want it anymore.
3) Despite what Freakonomics leads you to believe, Economists are not Sociologists and should stay out of the business of making assumptions about human behaviour.

I've stopped thinking up clever responses to the questions I see on this forum. I'm going to the Second World.

ICrisis-

Are you british? We usually spell "behaviour" with an "or" instead of "our"

He could also be Canadian...
