nada 10 char

^ huh?

i think it doesn't count for a whole lot, but if you come across as approachable (read: not socially inept and nerdy) it can boost your application a bit.

It counts for just about almost nothing. Honestly, it is more meant for you than for them.

It counts for very little. It might be a bit more relevant if you're looking for merit aid, I'd think.

Contrary to popular opinion (and the schools' own admission stuff that says they don't count interviews) always interview.

If you're lucky to get someone the school knows and trusts (e.g. the director of admissions) you will suddenly be transformed from a pile of paper to a person, and during the decision-making discussions, your interviewer may pipe up at just the right moment with a good word about you. Or if the interviewer was a bit more distant but still known, his report will be there to add that good word.

If the interviewer turns out to be just an unknown volunteer alumnus the report may not carry as much weight, but remember that every alumnus is "family" so to speak so their report will be trusted, perhaps a bit more than those good words from your favorite teacher.

You all make equally valid points, but I applied and didn't schedule an interview...it appears now is too late according to their web site. I checked and there is someone near me (geographically), but should I even bother at this point?

no decisions have probably already been made

I'm sure some may have, given they received over 20,000 applications and they need to make 1,360 acceptances by the end of this month or beginning of April, but I don't know...I'm going to call and ask if making an interview at this point would make a difference.

i guess, its just that decisions come OUT in 11 days, so they probably have made most of them by now.

March 26 is the day the letters are mailed?

^rumored... first batch
