How much is the writing section of the SAT weighed?

My October's SAT score, overall, was only slightly above average for Berkeley (2120) but my CR and Math scores were great; 740 + 750 respectively (actually I have no idea how I got 750 on math... should've gotten an 800)

Considering most colleges weigh CR and math much more than they do for writing (some even ignore writing completely), how does Berkeley view it? I mean, is a 630 on writing going to hurt me or do they ignore it?

.

considering the fact that the Writing test ONLY exists bcos UC required CB to add it to the SAT 1, you can be sure that the UC app readers do not ignore the Writing score.

^^ agreed. The writing score is as important as the other two scores. However, there’s no need to worry; your composite is a little above average and your writing score is a bit higher than the 25th percentile.
