I already have a third letter of rec (from a non-teacher), and am attaching an activities list and possibly a second Common App essay (I have no clue which of the two to submit!! They have different tones and are just completely different, but I like both).

What non-required stuff are you guys sending in? How much do you think is too much?

What I’ve been told is that your additional information section shouldn’t be guided by “X amount is good”. If you have more important activities than the common app limit, then sure, put your list in. If your additional activities look more like “once I went to a science fair”, don’t bother.

Also, unless you have important and relevant background information, don’t try to put another essay into the section. At best it will just be ignored; at worst admissions workers will get annoyed that you tried to submit more essays than everyone else.
