how much is too much?

I'm an incoming junior, and this is my schedule:

AP Bio
AP Chem
AP English
AP Calc BC
AP Econ
Honors Latin

Does anyone think that this overwhelming? I really want to make it into the Ivies, especially Stanford. Is this schedule good, too much, too little? Should I drop Calc BC to Calc AB? Please help with some tips!

Thanks!!!!!!

I think that whether you’ll do well depends on whether you’re good at those subjects, what your study habits and tolerance for stress are, and what your past course schedules have looked like.

I think you should drop AP Chem and take it as a senior. It may be too much to take AP Bio and Chemistry in one year, but it you think you can handle it, then go ahead

Thanks for the advice. I really like the subjects I’m taking, especially AP Chem and AP Econ. I’m fairly sure that I can take AP Bio and Chem in the same year - I’m really good at memorizing and plus I’m pretty good at Chemistry. I’ve already started to prepare for USNCO

Yeah, that was my idea too. I’m going to take AP Chem and Calc at the University of Pittsburgh. I’m also reading the AP bio and Econ book, they’re really interesting!!!

I think if you’re interested in the subjects, you’ll be fine  It’s great that you’re starting early on them :)

It’s perfect. Just do well in them.

Since most people don’t try to do well anyway…

AP courses are not very standardized. The homework load will vary greatly from school to school. Talk to the kids a grade ahead of you at you HS. Of course, some kids are just whiny and not very useful for information.

If you want to try it, you might as well start in Calc BC and switch into AB after first semester if it overwhelms you.
