How much do you have to pay total without counting scholarships.

I believe I have to pay around $80,000.

Do you think I should work part-time? or just concentrate on my studies, clubs, friends and enjoy college life. Cause i think half of it is going to be paid off through loan. and plus the job offers I get after graduation estimated around $50-65k. And I probably can get three or four scholarships during the 4 years.

I don’t think you can count on scholarships. You might be able to get good scholarships and I think courting scholarships is worthwhile, but debt is a burden that keeps on taking.

I am not clear if you have applied for and been accepted to college? Have you received financial aid? I can’t tell from your post, because it doesn’t make sense. Even if half is “paid off” by loans (which I assume YOU will be paying once you graduate) I am still not clear where the other half would be coming from.

My tuition at the end of 4 years will be abotu $48K, I get 4K from the state, I’ve saved up about 9K, I’m gonna work summers (hopefully I’ll be able to find atleast 40hrs/week at about $7/hr, which is $19,200). No room and board (living with my parents so no food or housing costs), and assume maybe $8,200 for books and fees and personal expenses over the 4 years I’ll have about 24K debt at the end, which really isn’t too bad.

well, counting scholarships, I don’t have to pay anything. But I go to a state school and without those, I would be paying like $7000 a year for tuition, plus like $3000-4000 room and board.

As long as the tuition doesn’t skyrocket the next few years, I should have $0 coming out of my pocket thanks to scholarships and my parents paying half my tuition.
