How much longer will I stare at this status?!

I submitted my app and sent my transcripts etc from school on Sept 15…still haven’t heard back. My status is the credentials being reviewed thing.

how long does it take for SAT/ACT scores to send?

About a week or so

I think that they review applications based on major, which explains why some people hear before others. I know a girl who applied for business last year, and she heard after friends who applied for other majors. Good luck to all of you.

My status changed this morning to " … an admission decision will be posted here in the coming days". I had the credentials one for about 10 days or so. Am I getting closer? Anyone have this status???

None of these status changes really mean anything. In the 3-4 weeks I waited for my decision, the status would change randomly back and forth. Even when it said “a decision will be posted in the coming days”, I still didn’t get a decision for another week or so.

Hmm it seems my scores were sent in 3 days since they aren’t requiring it anymore. Btw can the social security number be sent after the application?

Im not sure if you can just “send” it in. It would be a letter with just your social security…i dont think so. This is probably one of those instances where you should really call admissions. Best case scenario you just tel them your the numbers over the phone.

Hey, I’m applying to PSU and on the app online, there’s something about choosing a start campus and end campus.
Does that mean that we won’t stay on one campus all 4 years? If I go, I want to be able to go to University Park all four years but is it required for me to switch to an end campus?

Also, I plan on doing accounting so which campuses would be best for that?

^^Just choose University Park for both start and finish, and then I think you have to choose a alternate campus if you don’t get into UP. So on my status online it says “Thank you for applying to Penn State. Your application has been received and is being reviewed. An admission decision will be posted here in the coming days” BUT I got a big envelope in the mail today saying I was accepted! I thought they would change the online status before I got the mail, but i guess not

Choosing a start and end campus is the option that is mostly for students who plan to do the 2+2 program. This is usually when you start off at one of the smaller satellelite campuses for whatever reason, then transfer to another campus (usually University Park) your junior year. This also applies for student who must finish there major at a more specialized campus. If you dont intenf to do 2+2 then just pick the same campus for your start and end.

As for accounting i cant really help you there. I applied University Park (second choice Berks) as a Biology major. So I really wouldnt know what campus is best for accounting.

Do they change the status on weekends?

yeah mine changed this morning, i got my letter yesterday

wow congrats!

@Ramsxc813 Good job! Are you a Pennsylvania resident just out of curiosity?

Thanks QuicklyTea and observer4u
I’m a PA resident, its postmarked November 3rd on the letter, and i think all my stuff was in it says october 19. I wasnt expecting a decision until around christmas time, but hey i’m not complaining

Does the response first appear by mail or by the online status? and what will you be majoring in?

mine came first in the mail, online a day later, but i would think for most online comes first, just makes more sense.
I will be majoring in business, not sure exactly what yet

My letter came in the same day that I found out online

I found out online this morning and my letter arrived in today’s mail (I am OOS).

FYI - the last status I had was the “…in the coming days” one …only had that status for a few days (Nov 5 to 8). My letter is actually dated Nov 5 so I am taking a guess that they change to that status when they generate your letter. Just a guess…but it seems to make sense.
