How much money did you waste on college apps?

I think the total for me comes out to over $1500! I guess it’s not that much, but still, I could have done a whole lot with that amount of money.

~370$ if 1500 isnt much then mine is chump change but im still Not okay w/ it.

About $800

I spent 300 which was a lot of money for my family. Really, only about 40 of it was useful.

$400 about.

not to mention the cost of sending SAT scores...

4 schools for 250 bux. Sending SAT scores including one rush report probably add another $50-70

More than $500 for sure. I haven't really counted.

$1400 for 4 Masters applications

including application fees, test fees, transcript fees, postage and writing sample xerox costs, visits to two of the schools, wages lost while visiting schools and taking tests, etc.

$40! Maybe tack on another $15 for stamps. I applied to 14 schools, but most of them were free online or they gave me fee waivers (even though I didn't ask and don't qualify). If you e-mail the schools, there are several that will take you test scores from your transcript so you won't have to send them in. Only 2 of my schools wanted official score reports and those were included free with the test.

whoa whoa whoa...you lost me....$$ for applying...i mean...are u talking about like envelope stamp all that....or what?!!

$90. I didn't have to send my scores to either school since they accepted them on my transcript. Oh early acceptances... How I love thee.

Wow, 20 grand?! And I thought I had a lot.

I applied to 19 schools (was originally 20) and I think I paid about $1000 for them. That's not even counting the money for copies, binders, stamps, envelopes, "nice paper", etc. I got rejected to all but 6, so it was even worse for me. Especially when the person who applied to next-most schools (she applied to 16) got into most of her schools, including Princeton. ~_~
Imagine how I felt.

Man, I sure could've used that money...

Too much! Applying on-line and charging the fee is too easy and seems painless until the credit card bill comes. Even more painful after rejections and waitlists appear! LOL

20 grand..lol.:)

$0 for application fees, but over $100 for the CSS and score reports.

applied to 15 schools, but spent $$$$000000000000000000.00!!

My family makes like $27,000 a year, fee waivers... ^_^

way too much. around $65 for each of my 11 apps. around $100 sending scores. all the money for the CSS profiles, postage, etc. i definitely spent more than $1000 on college apps.

$65.. 1 school =p

didn't have enough time to get fee waivers since I found out about it like the day after I submited part I (with the app fee)

I didn't even pay my JHU fee until mid march lol.
