Since I plan on applying to University of Washington someday, I was wondering how much money they give to stuents who are out of state? Also, how much would it cost annually to attend UW out of state? How many scholarships do they give out, and how hard is it to find and get these scholarships? My parents say that I may not be able to get much fiancial aid, so is there anything else to lower the amount of money needed other than loans? I know I may have to go into loans anyway if I go to UW, but if I were to go to UW with 10,000 dollars from a job, how hard would it be to go to UW with little to no loans?

Not much, I presume. An appealing attribute of OOS students is that they will pay a lot of money to enroll at UW. And the school knows this. Why would they want to decrease their revenue by giving massive scholarships?

Didn’t mean to be pessimistic.

They give very little aid to OOS students. You can play around with this calculator – [Student Office of Financial Aid](<a href=“Student Financial Aid”>Student Financial Aid)

They didn’t give me anything at all, and I had pretty decent grades.

That’s the point of getting out of state students… to collect $$ they can’t via instate students.

You might qualify for fedral grants or loans not tied to the state however.
