For those students who are not new to UCLA, how much money is usually spent on your books, registration, just overall school fees a quarter..would $4000 grant money a quarter be enough to pay for school per quarter? thanks

wow you get a lot of grant money.

Per quarter, on campus, UCLA estimates:

Tuition/Fees: $2,162
Room/Board (Res Hall incl avg meal plan): $3,976 double, or $3,063 triple
Books & Supplies: $495

So about $6633 for the basics per quarter, or about 20K per year, living on-campus.

They also estimate (and include these costs in their 'cost of education' for planning purposes):

Misc Transportation: $243
"Personal expenses": $483
Health Insurance (if not currently insured): $188

Health insurance refers to the SHIP thing i believe.
it can be waived and then u can save $188.

Right-- they include the health insurance in the quarterly fees, but if you have health insurance already through the family, and it meets certain standards, you can have the health insurance fees waived by UCLA.

holy shiet. school is expensive now. at least $17000 per year. wow. That's a $5000 increase since 3 years ago.

how much are offcampus apts around ucla?
