?

I am really hoping to get into UIC architecture.
If not, i still want to go there..
I got a 28 on my ACT, and my GPA is about 3.4 or 3.5
I'm really nervous, do you think I will get in ??
I put that as my intended major.. should i call and say
if i don't get into that program i want to be a student at large or whatever?
or do i have a good chance

As a student of UIUC architecture (third year undergraduate), I do not know UIC's acceptance rate or much about their program.

Judging by your qualifications, however, I'd say you have a decent shot at the UIUC program. What is most important is that your GPA, or your ACT score (but not necessarily both) are strong, or that you've demonstrated a willingness and ability to learn related subject matter (for example, taking advanced/AP math and science, and having good written communication skills) Similarly, showing that you were involved outside of class (extracurriculars) is always an application strengthener.

Either way, if you are deferred for architecture at first, the transfer requirements aren't particularly difficult to satisfy- in other words, if you're determined enough, you'll find a way into the School of Architecture.

Keep in mind, speaking from my UIUC experience only.
