How much of a chance do you think I have if I re-apply?

Go to McGill and apply as a transfer if you perform well (3.8+ GPA despite the grade deflation).

Transferring is a possibility but I figured if I’m taking a year off to go to Haiti anyways, why not take another chance? The worst that can happen is another rejection and then I can really move on and just go to McGill.

Are the listed schools above generous with aid to internationals?

Are you fooling yourself with this Haiti thing? Would you be going to Haiti if you were admitted to HYPC?

As far as aid for Canadians goes…

NYU - None available
Chicago - Extremely competitive if you need aid, even more so if you require a great deal of it
Duke - I forgot, it’s either like NYU or Chicago
Georgetown - None available
Dartmouth - Meets full need + need-blind
Williams, Amherst, Middlebury - Google it. I think they all meet full need and they’re need-blind except for Middlebury, which is need-aware.

Why wouldn’t I take a year off even if I got into HYPC? What’s the big deal? I’m just entering college 1 year later.

any more advice/chance?
