How much of a jump in scores can you expect?

I didn't study for the SAT the first time (wanted to see where I stood) and I did fine on all the sections but the math. I plan to study from the Kaplan book well in advance of the next SAT. Has anyone else been in the same situation, and did your score change dramatically with any test-prep program? Anyone advice would be great.

i didn't study the first time

640CR
780M
640W

(1420 old, 2060 new)

without studying i jumped to

740CR
780W
770M

bring my composite to 1520 old, 2300 new

they will jump even if you don't study, but if you study you can make sure they jump dramatically

between the first and second SAT, my score increased 180 points.

I recently took SAT for the last time, and I expect to score so much higher this time.

i studied (aka took some practice tests) and im a junior. do you think that if i re-prep and take the sat's again i can improve? i took the december ones. (yesterday) if i do retake, when should i do it? june? september? wait, i cant take them in june because i'll be doing the sat 2's. oh well.
