My freshman and sophomore year I was a really good student with straight As and A-minuses. I take challenging courses, do many diverse ECs, score very well on standardized tests etc. However, my junior fall I went through a lot and sort of burnt out. I had a b+ average. I am just now starting to snap out of it but my junior spring grades will at best only be a little higher. I am into all APs for next year and plan on working hard. But I'm really worried: does a decrease in grades for junior year (the most important year) mean certain doom for my admission process to elite schools?

If you are applying EA to extremely selective colleges, it will probably hurt you. However, if you get your senior grades up and explain why your junior grades weren’t as good, it won’t be a problem.
