I'm sure there aren't many procrastinator's here (;)) but, for the little procrastinator in everyone, how much of a procrastinator are you? Do you procrastinate so much that you study exams on the night before, do you begin working on year-long projects the day before it's due, etc.?

If I do study for a test (which is rare since I don't really need to. I end up with high 90s anyways because I can soak things up) I do it the night before. Sometimes even the period before the test!

For projects, I do tiny bits at first. Usually the days before its due is when I really start working, but I can honestly say I leave most of it for the night before it is due.

And like most people say who procrastinate and still manage to get high grades, I work well under pressure.

Procrastination is my worse habit. I changed my extended essay topic two days before it was due and completed it minutes before the deadline (all IB students know that this is almost impossible to do). I do all my IB math practice tests during the period I have math and the day it is due (it's all about timing :) ). What can I say? I work better under pressure.

i think most of us procrastinate a lot... like projects and all those darned essays specially!! (nite of 31st dec n 1st jan! :p)
i tend to leavwe things to last min a lot too, i guess i also work well under pressure many times... :p

oh well, i am tryin to develop an anti-procrastination pill now :D

I used to do everything wayyyy in advance, but over the past couple years I've been leaning more and more toward procrastination. Now what usually winds up happening is if i have a test or project or something I'll start it early, then wait until the last minute to actually finish it.

I think I can take the cake for this one. I procrastinate so much that...

When I applied to a particular school in the beginning of January, they quickly sent me their supplemental application which includes such important things as teacher recs and essays. At least a month later (this is a rolling admissions university) I gave the rec sheet to my teacher. Not having recieved the supplemental app, the school sent me another one in the middle of February. I procrastinated so much that I ended up faxing it in sometime in the beginning of April, after many people had heard from all their schools. The school's website, which allows applicants to view their application status, told me that my application would be considered if there was room. I got my acceptance last Thursday. It might have had something to do with my 1460 and that the lowest of my three SAT II was a 780. There's no accounting for raw intelligence.

Oh, and that's the school I'm going to. You can be sure that I'll be on their site at 11:59 tomorrow night puting down the deposit on my debit card.

I think a lot of CC people are those procrastinators who always maintain high grades.
::Friends secretly hate you because you get an A while cramming everything in 1 hr while they get a B after studying for a month.
am i right?

No pressure = I don't do work at all.
Pressure = an 'A' paper/project but so much stress!

well, i do realize that the phrase "i work well under presuure " is so banal, but i really believe it's true for some people, me included

for example, i did most of my application essays the day before the "postmark deadline" and, therefore, always found myself giving the finishing touches to it until 4-5 a.m. but these were my best essays... (except for the commonapp one, on which I spent quite a lot time)

procrastinating really is a lot of stress, but as long as it's getting me into colleges and earning me straight As, i don't mind:)
