How much of an affect will dropping a class with a W have while going through CSU & UCs app Process

Hi, Sorry if my title was not clear enough, but basically I wanted to know how much of an affect will dropping a class with a a W while waiting to hear back from CSUs & UCs on acceptances will affect me? This will be my first dropped class with a W if that makes a difference. To make it clearer I’m basically in the middle of waiting to hear back from colleges (CSUs and UCs). I will of course notify them if I end up dropping the class. I just wanted to know how much will it affect me?

Have anyone done this before and have any insight on this? Thank You!
